In 2012, Big Bear Fire Department recruited Paid Call Battalion Chiefs that are under the Support Services Division. They are retired Fire Officers that serve on incident management teams or have been recruited to provide advanced level training within the Big Bear Fire Department.
We currently have an Incident Commander for California State Team 1, an Operations Chief for National Management Team 2, and another chief assigned to Training Division to provide advanced management classes.
