Applicants must submit one set of complete plans for the installation of fire sprinklers, fire suppression systems, fire alarm systems, and tenant improvements. Both fire sprinkler and fire alarm plans must also contain the hydraulic calculations. Plans must contain all information required by the appropriate Code or NFPA Standard. Generally, the average plan check turn around time is about five (5) business days for most submittals. In some cases, plans are referred to an outside consulting service. If this is the case, plans could take about three weeks to process. Fees include the base fee plus any engineering consulting fee. The base fee includes rough and final inspections (if applicable).
